I am pleased to write for TheBizClass.com. In the days and months to come, I will do my best to bring up issues that are of interest to business students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
I completed my undergraduate work at the University of Illinois, and I earned an MBA at the California State Polytechnic University at Pomona. Additionally, I have completed advanced graduate-level courses at the University of Southern California. In 1985 I completed 20 years as a Marine Corps officer, where I was involved in programs involving information technology, budgeting, financial management, and planning. From then until 1997 I was the CEO o
f Pentagon Express, a major transportation company in northern Virginia.
Concomitant with my careers in government and the private sector, I taught business administration courses as an adjunct faculty member at the Northern Virginia Community College, the Los Angeles City College and at Strayer University in Arlington, Virginia. On a number of occasions I was a guest lecturer on business administration at the U. S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland.
I am hopeful that readers will take the time to provide comments and suggestions to articles I will be posting. I promise to respond to all of them promptly.
Your name sounds familiar--what year did you graduate from Cal Poly? What did you think of their MBA program?
Regards, Patrick
