Bentley College is located in Waltham, Massachusetts, about 10 miles west of Boston. It was founded in 1917 as a school of accounting and finance. Since then it has grown significantly in stature as a business school and is now one of the
nation's best.
The school has about 4,000 undergraduates and 1,300 graduate students pursuing BSBA, MS, MBA and PhD degrees in accountancy and business administration, both of which are accredited by AACSB. The school also is regionally accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
In 2005, Bentley added a liberal arts program, thus allowing business students to earn a double major.
In 2007, Bentley was listed under "Best Graduate Schools" by USN&WR. The school's information systems program was rated #19 nationally and in the top 2 in New England. The accountancy program was rated #31 nationally and in the top 3 in New England.
Additionally, Bentley has received favorable evaluations from Business Week, the Princeton Review, Newsweek and Forbes. The Public Accounting Report named Bentley's Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) as among the top 25 in the nation.
Bentley has a "study abroad" program which allows up to 400 students to participate in semester/summer programs at leading universities worldwide. An intensive program at the London School of Economics, for example, would typically last three weeks and cost an estimated $3,750.
Tuition for the BSBA program is $29,810 annually. Graduate students pay $2,844 per course, where 10 courses are normally required for an MS degree and 20 courses are typical for the MBA program. On-campus room and board is $10,530 annually. Considerable financial assistance is available for top-notch students.
