Arizona has a population of only 6.1 million persons, but it boasts a number of top-notch business schools. The top three, according to evaluations by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) are:![]()
- University of Arizona - Eller College of Management (Tuscon)
- Arizona State University - W. P. Carey School of Business (Tempe)
- Arizona State University - West (Phoenix)
These schools get the "top" rating because their business administration and their accountancy programs have been evaluated and approved by AACSB.
The ratings I provide here should not in any way diminish the stature of the Thunderbird School of Global Management (Glendale) or Northern Arizona University (Flagstaff), both of which have been accredited by AACSB in their business administration programs. As soon as their accounting programs receive a similar accreditation, they can join the ranks of the Top Three.
Note: On an earlier entry (Management theory, part 4 of 4), I asked what equipment should be set at to put the correct amount of ketchup in 12-oz. bottles. The answer is 12.1 oz. Remember: we are obliged to follow accurate weights and measures in our packaging.
